Shoe Strike for Climate Justice

We joined with many other local climate organizations as part of the Shoe Strike in Waterloo Town Square, to raise awareness about both the need for concrete climate action, as well as the significant number of people who are currently without shelter in the Region. The event was organized by 50 by 30, Fridays for Future, Unsheltered Campaign, and Divest Waterloo. While the silent protest with intentionally-limited attendance was a contrast with the large climate rally in Waterloo last year, we thought it was a great way to raise awareness during these difficult times.
