A banner for a faith-based call for climate justice
To raise awareness about the need for climate action and justice in our community and globally, we have collaborated with local artists to create a beautiful banner. This banner evokes faith-led leadership for climate justice, and we are inviting interested faith communities committed to climate justice work to purchase one, and hang it in solidarity on or near your worship space (or another area on your property with high visibility). It is our belief that the more of these that are hung throughout the community, the greater the call to action will become. These banners can also be a powerful in-point for your faith community into deeper dialogue on what it means to commit to action for climate justice. They are powerful conversation starters, and calls to action for justice in the face of the climate crisis.
The banner is as shown above and below, with the simple text "Join communities for climate justice | Act Now | www.FaithClimateJustice.ca". The colours and images are both very open to interpretation, but we feel evoke our common deeply spiritual connection to the climate and the Earth. The flock of birds may also evoke collective action, working together to address a shared crisis. It is a reminder of our responsibility to caring for creation, which we are all deeply connected to.
Banners are 4ft x 10ft, and the cost of a banner is $300. All banners are printed locally on high-quality, durable material that should last in most outdoor locations, and include grommets for mounting. We are happy to share suggestions for how to mount the banner safely and securely with interested faith communities.
To order one or more banners, or for any other inquiries, please use the contact form below. For communities for whom the cost of the banner is too much, subsidies may be possible based on need and availability.
Thank you to all who are joining this call for climate justice! We look forward to walking with you on this journey.
